Handmade Kid's Birthday Cards

In my family we literally have a kid's birthday party celebration almost every single weekend of the year!  Needless to say, it gets costly.  And, so I refuse to spend money on a gift AND shell out another $5.00 on a child's card, that will most certainly end up in the trash or recylcing bin.  Instead, I make a few dozen kid's cards with a fun and festive animal theme, that I use throughout the year.  Here's how:
  1. Purchase blank cards and envelopes at Michael's craft stores, Office Max or Staples.
  2. Also at Michael's or a scrapbooking store, locate animal themed dye cuts or stickers.
  3. Attached the animal stickers or dye cuts onto patterned papers for a layered look.  You can chose papers with animal prints or other trendy designs.
  4. Print out the words "party animal" in decorative font from your computer onto card stock paper.
  5. Cut out the words with patterned scissors and attach to your cards using a raised foam adhesive.

These adorable handmade kid's greeting cards can also be used as invitations to a animal themed party!
